The History of Skiing in the Laurentians: Living in winter, with winter, for winter
Let us tell you the story of what was once a genuine means of getting about, but which later became a recreational and competitive sport, as well as being the motor behind the economic, social and even political development of the Laurentians. It also helps to explain that sometimes complex relationship we humans have with winter, a season loved by some, despised by others.
